Combat

When in combat with a monster, Attack and Defense play a role in your outcome of the battle. Depending on your Attack and Defense, you may suffer Defeat Effects and Damage.

Player's Attack VS Monster's Defense

Your Attack must be higher than a Monster's Defense to defeat it. If your Attack is below or equal to the Monster's Defense, you suffer the Defeat Effects indicated at the bottom of the Monster Card.

  • Player's Attack > Monster's Defense = Monster is defeated.

  • Player's Attack Monster's Defense = Player suffers Defeat Effects.

Player's Defense VS Monster's Attack

If your Defense is higher than the Monster's Attack, you are not damaged. If your Defense is lower than or equal to the Monster's Attack, the Monster deals damage to you which is indicated by the number of Damage Symbols on the left of the Monster Card. Each Damage Symbol is 1 damage which depletes your Life by 1.

  • Player's Defense > Monster's Attack = Player receives no damage.

  • Player's Defense Monster's Attack = Monster deals damage to player.

You may ask for other player's help and offer them a reward during combat.

Players can play Instant Cards to aid either you or a Monster.

After determining your Player's Attack and Defense compared to the Monster's Attack and Defense, play out the effects.

If you defeat the Monster, you will reap the rewards shown at the right of the Monster Card.
