Actions & Terms

Damage

Damage will deplete your Life Points. You are considered dead when reaching 0 Life Points. (See Death to see what happens after you die)

Damage is dealt to a player in various of ways. Most damage will come from not having enough Defense in combat (see Combat). Other ways to receive damage is by Action or Bonus Card effects.

Death

When you reach 0 Life Points, you will die. Discard your whole hand and leave the cards in-play on the table until your next turn. If a player stumbles upon your space where you body lies, they may loot 1 card from your character. (Can only be done once per player)

On your turn, you may choose a different Race Card and Circle Card:

  • If you choose to be the same Race and Circle, you will be considered the offspring of your previous character. You can return 1 card of your choice that was in-play to your new character. Discard all other cards. You may choose to start at one of your settlements or the Race Card's start place.

  • If you choose a different Race and/or Circle, you must discard everything in-play. Place your pawn onto the start place of that race.

You maintain the same amount of Honor Points.
You go back to Level 1.
Your settlement(s) remain.
Draw a new set of cards. (3 Bonus Cards and 3 Action Cards)

Defeat Effects

Defeat Effects occur when you cannot defeat a Monster. The Monster's Defense is too high for your Attack causing you to suffer the after-effects of fighting the monster.

Dungeons

Dungeons are special locations on the map. DO NOT draw an Action Card when entering the space. Instead, entering the space will immediately trigger a dice roll.

  • 1-4: Draw and play an Action Card. (like Phase Two: Travel)

  • 5: Draw 1 Bonus Card.

  • 6: Draw 2 Bonus Cards.

Duels

You may duel each player once per game. When you are on the same space as another player you may engage in duels. Player with the highest combined Attack and Defense is the winner of the duel.

Winner of the duel:

  • Steal 1 card from the player that lost.

  • Gain 2 Honor Points.

Loser of the duel:

  • Lose 1 Life Point.

  • Lose 1 Honor Point.
